The following was sent to the Florida Attorney General's Office and they were not to mediate the problem and suggested I send this to you for help.

We contacted Suzan Conner (Internet Leasing Specialist) about rental of a 1 bedroom 1 bath apartment in August 07. They said they would have one available the first week in Nov 07 as we desired. They sent us a letter
and application package on the 17 of Aug 07 stating they needed the application fee for each adult was $85 each and the holding fee was $150. The holding fee would be applied towards our security deposit when our
application was approved.

They approved the application however every time
we called to check on weather the apartment would be available they said they didn't have a 1bd 1bth but had a 2bd 2bth. We didn't want that. This continued this way right up to Oct 07. We decided to cancel and go
elsewhere, which we did and got an apartment in Port Orange.

I called and asked for our security deposit $150 back. Now they refuse to return the deposit. I sent the money in good faith and expected to be treated fairly. Now I feel this was an unfair and unjust monetary enrichment on their part and I was ripped off. Your help is greatly appreciated in this matter.
