Let me explain you that on 03/08/2007 came without my consent in my house a representative of IDT Energy claiming he is an employee from ConEdison. At that time he came in my house my wife and my 8 years old daughter were alone at home.
My 8 years old daughter served as interpreter since my wife is new to USA coming from a non English speaking country.
The representative was falsely claiming to be a ConEdison employee and told my wife our household is going to get a 7% Discount on the energy bill starting the following month. For that pourpose he handed out my wife a contract to sign.
These representative also checked all bulbs and electric appliances in my 5 room apartment and insisted in getting a ConEdison bill. My daughter found and handed out the representative a bill from which he got the ConEdison account number on my Name.
What we did not know and did not reflect on any ConEdison bill after that is that we switched the energy company.
On 7/6/2007 I noticed the change by calling ConEdison customer Service and on the same day I called IDT Energy in order to cancel the contract signed by my wife. (IDT Energy employee ID Nr 601825). IDT Energy tells me they need 60 days to cancel the contract and notify ConEdison about the cancellation. The Months I switched to ESCO energy company did cost me lots of money. CONEDISON is behind it, no doubt.
Since I switched to ESCO energy company I got billed US$ 150.00 each Month and I was paying each Month an average of US$ 50.00. At the end I paid US$ 800.00 more a year. Please investigate.
