Connie Brown Quickbooks and Training Scam in Dallas TX - STILL advertising on Craigslist in DFW/Dallas area as of 8/10/12 Dallas, Texas
As with everyone else complaining about Connie Brown, we contracted her to update & complete our accounting records with Quickbooks. We paid her half to get started with an agreement to pay the other half upon completion.
Of course, she had ongoing tragedies the entire time she was working for us and when we were told it was 95% done and she could finish up from home, we paid her the balance (naive, of course) because she needed $ for her crises.
Not only was she no where NEAR finished....we never saw her again. She was great about responding to texts and emails for a while and kept promising that if it wasn't for her car breaking down or food poisoning or her boyfriend going to the ER that should would have made EVERY appointment she scheduled with us to finish up.
We are filing with the DA today and looking into small claims court also. Of course, we'll never see the $1200 again...but hopefully we can make it at least a bit tougher for her to get away with this.
It's really too bad because she seemed to know what she was doing. I would think she could have made a nice living at this without fraudulently stealing money from her clients.
