Conns 1 month and counting With a dead 60 inch plasma TV. I guess my ext warranty i got suckered into buying doesnt really do what they told me it would do. I'll Never Buy From CONns again. Dallas Texas
I purchased a 60 inch plasma HP TV from Conns, along with the ext 2 year warranty that I got talked into.
After 5 months the TV went out. It's dead, wont power up at all. I had a repair tech come out and he said there are two boards, and he will put in a service request for HP to ship the boards. A week later the tech comes out with one board and that doesnt fix the problem.
The tech tells me that the TV's dead and he will let HP know, so they can relace it.
Another week goes by so I Call Conns and ask to speak to a manager of the service department. He seems considerate of the situation and says he'll get to the bottom of it.
Two days pass with no contact from Conns so I call them. They tell me that HP won't approve replacing the TV.
OK, so i ask whats next, they say HP is sending out another part and i should wait for it - no time frame or anything.
I've been without this TV for a month now, while my ext warranty is wasteing away. I've bought big appliances from Home Depot, BestBuy, Circuit City and gave Conns a shot since they had a good deal on a nice TV. I even went along with the whole ext warranty sales pitch they gave me and purchased a 2 year ext warranty. I was told, they would replace my TV or fix it if anything goes out in it.
Well the time has come for me to use my EXT warranty that i purchased and I am not happy with sitting on my purchase for 1 month and counting while i still dont have an estimated time for fixing or replacing the product.
I wonder what the AWARD WINNING SERVICE ribbon is for exactly...
I will never buy from Conns again.

conn's is second only to sears in bad service. Bought my wife a guitar at conn's. When her instructor was tuning it, the neck seperated from the body. Took me three trips back to conn's to finally get a refund. conn is right.

After getting the run around with CONNS again today. I called HP and they were SOOOOOOO great. They are shipping me the parts just from my description of what has happened. And once the parts come in (fedex'd to my house) I have a number they gave me to call a HP tech. He'll come out, fix it and if it still doesnt work, they will replace the whole TV.
WOW - i achieved more from one 20 min phone call, than i had in 1 month from conns.
