I tried to purchase a refridgerator for my mother from Conns website. I liked the convienence of making the purchase online and there site looked simple enough. I picked one out and puchased it with a debit card.

I was supposed to get a call from a reppresentative to finalize the deal but this never happened. I called them the next day and after getting passed around between 3 people, the first 2 being completetly ignorant, the 3rd informed me that I would have to go to the store to pay for the fridge.

So, I go to the store and mildly complain to one of the floor managers. I explained that I tried to make the purchase online and he proceeds to tell me that they don't do things like that and that it is not even possible on their website. (So I guess I'm a liar)

He then calls customer service and tells them that I tried to apply for credit online and needed assistance. I stopped him and reminded him that I didn't need credit and was paying cash. (I guess he assumed I couldn't afford anything)

He finally passes me off to a salesman who took an extra 5 min to finish his BS session with another salesman to help me. I should have left at this point but it was pouring down rain and I just wanted to get a plain jane refridgerator.

Too my own fault I didn't ask alot of questions, but neither did the salesman offer any info on the product. I feel that they should have told me that "crisper drawers" and a lid on the butter compartment where "optional"

To sum things up, after it was delivered my mother hated it. I went back to the store and was told by the store manager that I could go to an appliance parts store and purchase the stuff if I wanted. So I told them to come and get the fridge and give me a refund.

He said sure after a 15% re-stock fee and another $54.00 delivery charge. So Conns made $115.00 dollars off me and lost a potential customer. I will never shop there again and will tell everyone at my job (a large local community college) as will my wife about our bad experience.
