Consolidated Credit mangaes my Sears Credit Card account. They have been paying my bill late since Sept. 06. I found this out in Dec. when on was on leave because being in the military I have moved around a lot and have not gotten my statement since then. I called Consolidated and they said they would contact Sears. Right now Iam in school in North Carolina. I have a very intense cirriculum plus other issues and just forgot to follow up with them. My wife called me and told me Sears was still charging me late fees. I called C.C. spoke with Yolanda, she said they had contacted me on Dec.27 and left a message( I never recieve any message or e-mail) She told me Sears had changed their terms and that their due date did not coincide with the date they disperse the payments. I told her that that wasn't my fault that they should know this and are PAID to manage my account and pay my bill on time. She said that I should have contact them sooner and that I would be responsible for those late fees. I do not feel I should be responsible because if I pay them for a service they should be on top of managing my account. She said that they do not recieve statements which I understand and do not know what is going on with client accounts. They charge me 135.00 dollars a month and only use 110 dollars to pay my bills. Where is the other $25 going to? Obviously to their company so if I'am paying them for this service they should be aware of due dates and adjust their schedule of payments to meet client needsinstead of paying late. I asked to speak to her supervisor(Emma) and she gave me the the same speech. The bottom line is I don't think I should have to pay the $150.00 in late fees that have been brought upon me because of their lack of knowledge. They just made my debt situation worse when they are supposed to make it better. I've been a loyal customer for over 2 years and have actually recommended this company to friends and family but I think Iam going to have to retract after this less than adequate service.
