I was lead to believe by a fast talking telemarketer in June 2002 that I was going to pay 3 payments once a year of $39.80 for 6 magazines for three years. This would cover the total order of magazines that I had purchased for a three year period. They sent me a brochure in the mail stating that I had 3 days to cancel the agreement upon receiving the brochure. However, I didn't read the brochure because I didn't think there would be an issue with the subscription. They also sent me two more magazines that I didn't order.

I started noticing how many times I was being billed on my credit in November, 2002 and figured there was something wrong. I called CMS in November 2002. They told me that I was bound to them for 3 years in this deal, not 3 months. I told them to cancel my subscription and they said they wouldn't. I told them that I misunderstood the conversation on the telephone with their salesman, and they didn't care. I then told them that I was going to contact my credit card company and dispute the charges. I also told CMS not to charge my credit card anymore, which they agreed to. However, they are going to bill my home now. This is the biggest scam operation I have ever been a victim of. I don't want the magazines. How do I get out of this? Why can't I cancel?
