I was not aware that I had been scammed until I started looking at my bank statement to see why I had checks bounce. I was only then that I found that they had charged my account for $66.65 for magazine subcriptions in which I did not remember agreeing to. I then remembered speaking to CMS. Honestly I don't remember much of the phone conversation being that it was almost two months ago.

Today I contacted CMS in order to cancel our agreement and they said that I could not do so because my ten day grace period had expired. I never received any "packet" in the mail explaining my agreement. They also said that I would still have to pay a balance of $700 plus. I proceeded to tell them that I would not pay because I was not satisfied.

The customer service rep then threatened me by saying that she would have to report this on my credit. I said so be it. I would rather have a bad mark on my credit then to give money to some company who has no morals or ethics.

I did however receive two magazines in the mail today. I know that I did not subscribe to these because they are sailing magazines and I live over 300 miles from the ocean. You would think that if they really wanted to succeed that they would at least do some research on their victims.

I have been busy all day filing complaints with the BBB and the FTC. I have also contacted some news stations. I will do everything in my power to get this operation shut down. Everyone else out there who has been victimized by CMS needs to do the same thing. I think that the media has more power sometimes than these agencies who are supposed to protect us from these companies.
