Complaint Review: Consolidated Media Services

Consolidated Media Services offered me a magazine subscription and free prizes to which I agreed to pay. During the conversation with a sales representative, I was told I was allowed a ten day "grace period," and if I wanted to cancel the subscription I would receive information in the mail on how to do just that.

I received nothing within the ten days, and, in turn, no way to contact the company. When the payment showed up on my credit card statement, I called them to cancel. I was told I could not.

I contacted my credit card company to deny the charges. In the meantime, CMS has contacted me and rudely thrown my recorded conversation at me. Sure, I agreed, but then received nothing well past the point that it was too late.

If you are contacted by someone who immediately throws the word "free" at you, please hang up!!
