Consolidated Media Services Overcharged Received Unwanted Products Hassled by Credit Agencies Atlanta Georgia
The same thing happened to us as everyone else. It all started last summer with charges to our credit card that were unauthorized. We were receiving magazines we had never ordered.
Consolidated Media Services sent us a brochure welcoming us to the company - there was no mention of how much we would be charged, what we would get, any indication of a contract... so we called to cancel. They said we had 10 days from the date of receiving the brochure to cancel. Well, we didn't know we were enrolled in anything to cancel until our credit card started getting charged $50 per month!
Anyhow, they stopped charging our card, but sent us a bill for $400+ which we are not paying. All of our magazines have been cancelled, except of course the ones we never ordered, and collection agencies call us weekly to harass us.
I just found this website today and am so relieved to find out we are not the only ones struggling with this corrupt company! I am going to get in touch with the federal trade commision, the Attorney General of Georgia, and the postal service fraud division as suggested. Even if we never get our money back, hopefully it will help other people avoid this company!!!!
