Consolidated Media Services ripoff Atlanta Georgia
These people called me on the phone and inquired about my interest in magazines. After a brief conversation, I ordered a Time Magazine subscription. The telephone agent failed to tell me I was going to be billed $400.00 and subscribed to a number of different magazines that I had no interest in. They have subsequently called back twice and although I have contacted them by mail, refuse to cancel their service.
I contacted the magazines they ordered without my permission and requested a cancellation. Most of them have suspended service pending notice from the ordering company. Interestingly, NONE of the magazines listed CMS as the ordering company, but listed companies name Media Outsourcing and Sunco, two names I have never heard of or from.
Shortly after ordering Time magazine,I began receiving a coin collection in the mail that I did not order, which was being billed to my credit card. I returned the coins and contacted the company and requested they stop charging to my credit card #. I have not heard from them since. CMS evidently passed my credit card # to one of their affiliates.

Media Outsourcing another name of Consolidated Media Services.
What to do?
Report them to one or more of the following authorities:
www.ftc.gov click on the: File a Complaint Online
(CMS breaks every possible ftc rule repeatedly.)
www.usps.com/postalinspectors - scroll down to the File a Mailfraud Complaint - from the subject of your complaint chose the Harassment (Merchandise ordered w/o your consent)
Call the Attorney General of Georgia Office of Consumer Affairs (They have a very huge file on this company)
800.869.1123
THEN send an e-mail to Clay Hurst, the pres of CMS churst@cmsmags.com, referring to your previous complaints to the government offices.
In the subject line write: USPS Insp, FTC :-)
