My wife and I purchased a two bedroom timeshare sometime 2006. We traveled back out to Vegas and stay at Tahiti on W. Tropicana Blvd. Reservation told me nothing was open at Phase I.

Then we were told what a great deal they could now offer us two one bedroom for less than they now cost. This was on 4/24/2007. W e l l, we purchased this great deal after the agent went and got a Mr. Bob Needham. He is a super sales person. Suckered us right in. Told us how much the value would go up because there was no more land on the strip. Also told us that we could rent our time to friends if we chose to. Well I have advertised in several magazine and have not had one call. Some where in the conversation we were told to refinance when we got home.

Well guest want, no bank or credit union will finance a timeshare. Thank the good Lord we had the money to pay off both units.

I'm now holding(well not holding while typing) in my hand a piece of paper heading is Soleil LV,LLC 801 S. Rampart BLVD, Las Vegas, NV 89145

stating the following: This is to certify that I fully understand that the Real Estate Company, the Developer, The Sales Agent, and Managing Agent do not represent my interval ownership on a rental or resale basis.

I further understand and acknowledge that neither the Company nor any agents or employees have made any direct or implied representations as to any possible rentals on the property.

I just hung up speaking with Expedia who had one or two bedroom for rent at Tahiti Village on S. Las Vegas Blvd.
These units are not be on a rental bases.

I want all my money back and fees. Is there anyone who can help?

I was happy the first year that we owned but every year after that the maintenance fees have jumped up significantly with no cap.  We are not late and never been late but my first complaint would be that the fees increase a lot every year.  2nd, we have recieved letters of them filing bancrupcy.  They are hurting and so they are causing their owners to feel the pain.  2nd complaint, Now they have changed companies and now their entire system is screwed up.  We do not pick the weeks anymore and so I called in September to bank my week and they gave Interval a week in January 2013 which since that time has passed, it is not desirable and now Interval is only giving me one month to use this week before it expires and we lose it.  Their entire system does not make any sense and we have not gotten any formal letters regarding these changes.

My husband and a notice from a collection agency asking ford I feel defrauded and misled as well. We just received a letter from a collection agency saying that these crooks are trying to collect over $700.00 in "maintenance fees" for a time share we can't even use because of the scam. I would love to be added to a class action lawsuit.

My husband and I purchased a one bedroom every other year timeshare in 2005.  Although through job losses and other issues, we have not used it.  We have paid our maintenance fees regularly.  Last month, we received a collection letter from a company in California for our maintenance fees plus a $50 collection fee.  We did not even get a bill from Tahiti Village for the original fee, which I believe should have been received in December 2009!  I am appalled, I have gotten no phone calls, no mail, no emails regarding our maintenance fee prior to receiving this collection letter.  And we would have paid it in December had they given us a bill!  (I completely forgot about it until we got the collection notice).  I would love nothing more than to be rid of this thing!

I totally agree with you. This also happened to me. I think that we should file a class-action lawsuit against this company and if you have heard of anything or could help with advice for me in any way. I would appreciate it.

My husband and I have all same complaints that everyone else on the internet has against Tahiti Village...lied to, pressured, increasing rates, etc.

Our newest frustration is that in February I tried to book a week stay for anytime in July or August and was told they are all booked up! However, if I go to Hotels.com or Expedia guess what...I can book anytime I want to. I seems to be missing the advantage of being an owner?

Even more embarassing...we take a golf vacation once a year with a group of friends Vegas and for the last few years have been staying at Tahiti Village. We rent additional rooms for them at our "owner rate". This year they informed us that they were going to book their own room because of the deal they were getting on Hotels.com (buy 3 nights get 1 free) this is cheaper then we can get it as an owner! Again, still not understanding the advantage of being an owner.

We would love to get in an any class action lawsuit that is filed.

Hi Tnj,

I am in the same boat as you. Your story is the same as mine. If you want a full write up of my story look up Derf - consolidated / Tahiti Village on here. I have hired a lawyer and also working with The Owners Advocate. But at this time I am making very little progress. I am also in contact with owners of this website to release my contact information to everyone that has filed a complaint on Consolidated, so that we can talk more and work together rather then individually. Here is what I suggest that you do

1. Write Consolidated and notify them of your issues but don't expect this to go to far.

2. Research your deed number on the Clark County recorders website. My contract states that I bought Phase 2 but my deed is for an empty lot behind phase 2.

3. Write the Better Business Bureau
4. Write the Federal trade Commission
5. Write the Nevada Attorney General
6. Email Ripoff.com and request Derfs Contact Info.

This is everything I have done so far. If we can get directly in touch each other, I think that we could coordinate our efforts.

Hope this helps and I hope to hear from you soon.
