I received this letter last week from CAAS and was skeptical, but sent them the money they were asking for anyway...21.95 USD. I have alerted my local media about this too. I have put a stop payment on this check so it wil not go through. This is crap.

You get this letter saying you have won a cash prize of $525,439 USD. That's funny, not only did I not enter any such contest, but the dollar amount matches that exactly of others who have posted here. Sure looks official, and 20 bucks to process, sounds like a deal. I thouht of quitting my job and going to school, getting my car fixed... Oh well, it's never that easy.

Look on the back of page 1, 4 lines from the bottom: "Consumer has not won any of the listed prize or cash awards." And if you had won something like this, most likely it would be on legal letter head and they would probably want to invite you to their place for pictures and media and a huge cardboard check. And these guys want to just send you a check in the mail? IF you want to win big, play the state lottery or powerball.

I thought this might be the answer to all my problems, but nope. I'll have to deal with them the old fashioned way. Buyer beware: you shouldn't have to spend money to make money. Oh yeah, why don't they have a phone number listed in these documents?
