I have been receiving postcards from a firm in florida stating "we have been trying to reach you" since last year. I called the phone number on the card and a young somewhat illiterate African American man wanted to give me a credit card with a large credit limit for 199. dollars. I told him no. This was July 2002.

This past Monday Robert Vaughn a "representative" from Credit Aid the same company called and offered a larger credit limit for 299. dollars. The fast talker(sounded like a New York Italian) said I would be only paying 99. dollars as the credit limit would be raised by 200. dollars. I asked him who is backing these credit cards and he said CONSUMER CREDIT SOLUTIONS. My Dad is running a catering business and I wanted to help him out financially so I gave them banking information to postdate an electronic payment for Sept 6 2002 as well as my Mom's maiden name.

Mr Vaughn wanted to know if I had direct deposit and overdraft protection on my bank account after I gave him the bank information.

Mr Steven Johnson (a White American) recorded the same information I gave Mr Vaughn.I ask him how can I know this is legit and he said to call back the phone #1-888-888-1223 X228 After reading the posted messages I e-mailed my bank and I will be there tommorrow to close accounts. I called the 1-(888)888-1223 EXT228 number Mr Vaughn gave me but the mailbox was "full"

Thank Goodness for the Internet and the Rip-Off reports filed.

Now I just have to chase down an Automotive Warranty company who took 130. from my account last week but have'nt sent me a policy.

I will be contacting my local News agencies to get the word out and help try to put these jerks out of business or at least make it harder for them to operate. O yeah read the post about EBAY's BILLPOINT paymentbefore you purchase anything. I had a crazy experience with two companies doing the MUTT and JEFF routine on a bid. My next rip-off report will be about AOL billing scams going on earlier this year.

I used to work for West telemarketing taking information from people responding to legitimate mail or newspaper solicitations. These people are really good
