Huntington National Bank threatened an unfair, incorrect determination that our money market account at Huntington National Bank was "dormant" although it was NOT dorment under Huntoington's published policies (confirmed by local Branch Manager)  or Ohio law on "unclaimed funds."

Huntingotn's computers ground on with more threatening letters and, eventually, despite telephone calls and a letter pointing out that we were not dead and had very active accounts with Huntington, the bank declared our money market account "dormant."  Eventually, that means any balance is pard to the State.

I complained to Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, using its on-line complaint form.  When Huntington repeated its false claim of dormancy, the CFPB closed our file.  Turns out all the accused has to do is plead innocent, and the  CFPB dismisses your complaint, closes your file, and refuses to take any further action.   I was told today, "We do not investigate."

Full emplyment but no meaningful action to cause the bank to treat us fairly.

We all pay for the government.  Is this what we deserve?  The budget "cap" for CFPB for 2018 is $663,000,000.00 U.S.
