Complaint Review: Consumer First

I also recieved a form letter claiming $5000.00 credit and 0% apr. I however recieved a yellow post card on the same day which stated as follows:

WE are notifying you that your credit card has not been activated.

Our records show this card to have an approved line of credit of $4000.00.

THIS MAY BE YOUR FINAL NOTIFICATIO

Please call (888) 817-5665 now for immediate activation.

The address was an acatual street address of 4026 Henderson Blvd. yet is still in Tampa, Florida

This card upset me as I thought there was an actual card that had been issued without my knowledge. Upon calling the 888 number I was informed that they were FIrst Consumer credit and offering me a card.

THIS IS JUST PLAIN WRONG! soliciting bussiness in this manner is not lawful. When I asked the representative on the phone for further information I was told the card had to be used purchasing there products. When I asked what type of products they had I was not given an answer. When I asked for a web address I was told it would come with my packet AFTER paying $45 for the activation fee on my membership.

Why will they not tell you what they have if it is a honest business.

The rep claimed they were similar to finger; which does not solicite business in this manner so I find it hard to believe.

Does anyone know how to find out what the offer?
