Consumer First possible aka's on this site Capital First, Peoples First & Platinum Card, American Credit Solutions with $5k limit consumer fraud ripoff Tampa Florida
Received by mail, standard business envelope, green and white certificate-like insert offering me a Platinum Card with a $5k limit, 0% APR 1st yr. To recieve card you had to return signed "certificate" w/$45 standard processing & delivery; $49 RUSH. Very authentic looking offer, but I've always been a skeptic. Did a web search for the company, and here I am.
Mainly wanted to inform viewers and/or bad business Bureau of similarity to several other companies listed on this site (see business name aka's). Or are there really that many different scammers?
SAME DAY I received a post card size "Credit Approval Notification" from a company called:
American Credit Solutions
4618 N. Hale Ave, Ste 102
Tampa, FL 33614
888-817-4795 (activation center)
Again, very professionally done. Platinum, unsecured, approved $4k limit Activation Ctr office hrs, even fine print stating "Must have a current checking acccount and be at least 18 yrs of age. Also gave a bar code and Confirmation No. to give when you called to activate. I actually called these guys, asked too many questions, gave them personal information including bank name, but stopped short of giving them my SS# and checking account no.
After viewing this site, I've patted myself on the back once or twice. But I still wonder if I might have given them enough information to use against me. Will notify bank to watch for any new or unusual debit/credit card transactions. (Again, I did NOT reveal my SS# or checking acct#, but DID give my name, address, bank name, address.)
THANK YOU RIP OFF REPORT for making this sort of information so easily available!!

I recieved the same type of letter i read about in some of the articals. It was from Consumer First, granting me a 5,000 dollar credit limit.I had a feeling that i should chek it out.I am a 20 year old mother trying to establish credit.Everything that i applied for on credit gotten denied. So this was to good to be true.Checked it out and you had it listed. If it wasn't for the internet i wouldn't know.Someone should make it easier for people to know about scams such as these.A.K.A Consumer First P.O Box 15386 Tampa,FL 33684-5386 thankyou
