*Consumer Comment: How do they get away with such ripoffs?

I recieved a letter guarantee with a 5000 credit limit. the letter raised concerns because it did not have a phone number. I looked on line for the company or bank and found this site. I was close to mailing the check but was saved by fellow upstanding americans

I just like to make a comment on this issue. Although, I am not a victmum of(Consumer First) I almost was. Thank God for website such as yours to warn the public of these very rip-off scams. My question is., how do these people actually get away with such scams and how is it possible that they can continue to do so. Thank you for your time and consideration.
