I wanted to view my free credit report, so I signed up with Consumer Info. They wanted a credit card number, and said that the report was free for thirty days, and if you didn't cancel their services within thirty days, they would charge the card $79.95.

I gave them my card number, and got my free credit report, even payed the extra five dollars for my credit score. Then, about a week later, I emailed them and very Politely thanked them for the free credit report, and requested them to cancel my membership. In this email I also that I was making sure to cancel early and to please make sure not to charge my card.

I never heard back, so I found another email address on their website, and wrote an email to that one too, also thanking them for their services and requesting cancellation.

No one ever emailed me back, so I thought that they would just do it. NOPE. A few weeks later $79.95 came out of my bank account, those lousy creeps. I emailed them NUMEROUS times, never got a response from anyone. I called and called, got put on hold constantly, sometimes for up to 45 minutes, and no one ever helped me.

One day I was at my neighbor's house, and we started talking, and it turned out they had did the same exact thing to her and her husband. What a scam! I hope they get caught soon.
