right now im having trouble trying to get my title i made my last payment on may 4th and was told that i will be getting my title in about two weeks well that has came and gone. yesterday i called them to find out what the deal was and the same guy that handles my account told me there was a late charge from fireside bank who is the original finance company but went out of business late 2010.

Mathew told me that there is a late charge and i told him no there was not and that i never missed a payment ever so he goes on saying yes there is i told him if there ever was late charge that it was taken care of back in 2006 and has been up to date ever since, so this guy goes on telling me i have to pay $27.01 to get my title i told him i will payit but i better get my title. i told him i would call him back to make a payment and when i called him back about two hours later he would send me to voice mail.

he stated that he would be there until 5pm PST but would not answer the phone. i made the payment online and did get a confirmation email with a transaction number. i called to speak to someone els by the name of Xavier Gonzales he was very nice and tried to answer all of my questions i asked him to send me a faxed copy of my account transcript and history just to make sure everything is OK.

With the exception of a select few, these people are rude on every call i have made and if you can avoid dealing with these people please by all means do so. try to find another finance company because these people are the lowest of the low even if your in good standing with them. you will find out that it is hard to get rid of them when you wanna get your title i did read that other persons post on here about there title not clearing, i just hope i don't have to go through that as well.

CPS are well known here for their nefarious practices, and Jim (Orlando) and Robert (California) are always quick to jump to their defense.

I would advise seeing an attorney re their refusal to release the title after you paid in full.  I'm hoping you have proof of that however as without proof that will stand up they will yet again try to gyp you out of your rights.

To give you some idea of how underhanded these people can be I have just finished a court case against them where the person involved would not speak to them due to as you so rightly say their reps abusive attitude.  After getting their calls taped and them refusing to accept even a reasonable offer they attempted to re-age his debt by reporting a payment of $1 to the credit agencies.

When we got to court their attorney failed to turn up and my friend got the whole case dismissed with prejudice against CPS and an award of $1000 due to the proven fact that they were at the least misleading and dishonest.

To Jim and your (alter ego or friend Robert)  why not try to actually help people instead of just defending a company that has lost many many court cases against honest people? If as I expect you just reply with abuse I would refer you to the fact that in over 80% of the cases no attorney for CPS turns up!  As most people who use this service will realize the only reason an attorney fails to show is that the said company already knows they will lose lol.

To my mind CPS wold do much better by actually working with people instead of employing abusive agents who have probably cost the company more than they have made them.  Customer service is an art that CPS has continually shown that they don't want and indeed would love to ignore.  However in the modern day the court system can and does penalize companies that ignore fair collection practices :)

It is doubtful someone with your "education" would understand anything they would tell you.  Why not get a third grader who went to school and learned much more than you to write these things.  Your education is such that you cannot even write a paragraph without a run-on sentence!
