consumer portfolio services miss white White has calls me 3 times or more a week i only owe $600 for my vehicle to be paid off for next month and they towed it this morning Irvine, California

Miss white has been harassing since i asked her for a pay off on my 04 Chevy Tahoe my receipt said 1thing she said a higher number i spoke to a supervisor and ever since then i get at least 3 or more calls a week i keep explaining to her im a disabled veteran living on a fixed income and wouldnt be able to pay until the beginning of the month my total pay off was $1200 my social security didnt post till the 3rd of feb i payed my regular payments of $600 a month as i have done for the last 6 years and they repoed my jeed this morning its crazy

That if you only owe a certain amount you don't have to pay on-time and they are not allowed to repossess your car?  Oh..there isn't..well what a surprise.  The fact is that even if you owed $1 they could still legally repossess it.   Is it a bummer that they did this...yes.  But if companies didn't do this what incentive would people have to actually pay off their car when they got close to paying it off?

You also conveniently left out how late you actually are on your payment.  I bet since you are talking about being called 3 or more times a week..it is at least your January Payment..perhaps even back as far as December or November. 

You say that the payoff amount doesn't match what you "think" you owe.  Well that is because that probably includes late fees and additional interest that you will owe..especially if this is not the first time you have been late.
