My saga began in September of 2004 when hurricane Ivan came through Pensacola, FL... Pensacola was pretty much wiped out with no gas, major highways washed out, curfews set, no work... need I say more? Well being out of work for two weeks and not having a pay check I politely called CPS and asked them if there would be anyway that I could put that payment on the end of my loan because of our situation and they kindly rejected it.

So needless to say almost 4 years later I have continued to get harrassing phone calls, late fees not to mention the crap that just happened to me today.
Last month I received one of many of their calls for payment. I explained as I always do of the situation and that "truepay" would be taking the payment out on the 24th. Well when I said that, it was then brought to my attention that truepay is no longer in service and that I needed to make my payment through a check to them. So like a dummy I trusted them and sent a check... Did they cash it? Yes they did... Did truepay deduct the funds for CPS? Yes they did... Am I in the hole? Yes I am...
I never once asked for CPS to be my finance company, my account was sold to them in the 2nd year of having the auto loan. There has to be something that one can do about this. They are getting away with murder. Do we have rights? I am actually paying for nothing but late fees from the last 4 years now, my car was paid for in June.
