Complaint Review: Consumer Preferred

Consumer Preferred RIPOFF! I received no card or response after 3 weeks, website is no longer and phone # tells you the hours and hangs up. Powell Wyoming

I appear to be another victim of this scam, I feel violated and disappointed, I was offered a Platinum card with a $5000.00 limit (PRE-APPROVED) on a green certificate in the mail, All I needed to do is just send in $45.00 for processing or $49.00 for rush delivery. I saved up $49.00 and sent it in on 10/27/2003. After a couple weeks went by I still have not received any response, I checked the Internet for a web site and found many sites that are talking about being RIPPED OFF from a company called Consumer Preferred.

I decided to immediatly call the bank and see if the check I had written was processed yet, It has been cleared on Nov. 4th. I tryed to call the phone number and all I could reach is the customer department where the automated system explained the hours of business and hung up the phone.

All I wanted to do is get Christmas gifts for my son and now I don't have any way to get them and I am out $49.00 from this scam. If anyone knows what steps to take and who to contact to start legal action against these people Please let me know (WE CAN'T LET THEM GET AWAY WITH THIS)
