Consumer Research Corporation, Video Professor, Product Test Pane, Ohmypod.com, Freegreengamemachine.com rip-off! They installed some spyware - I can't go anywhere without their name popping up. Bradenton Florida
after all the hoopla and pages and pages of questions (to get a Lexus) then they stick me with the pincer - you can't qualify to do the testing unless you spend at least $600.00 then i spend hours trying to get through the servers to turn off the steal sites... including Video professor - (pretty sure this one is stolen from owner) no cancel link provided and the real site dont recognize me Hydroderm - this one i managed to 'turn off?'

The browser hijacking that your complaint details is getting all too common and is a symptom of spyware, that any one of those above mentioned sites could have put on your system.
Or it could have come from another source as well. Some suggestions:
Run good anti-spyware programs, most of which are free and can be downloaded from download.com and keep them up to date:
spysweeper, spyware doctor, are some. Also spywareare blaster, innoculated the computer against known spyware programs, and can be found at http://www.JavaCoolSoftware.com
For the about:blank spyware, a specific program to remove it, has to be used. If you can get one of these tools to find and specify the name of one, then you can do some google searches to help fine the cure. Do this from another machine if needed, until it is fixed...
