I booked two round trip ticket to India through Consumer Wholesale Travel(CWT) and paid the fare in full through a check dated August 29th 2003 for $2,500.

Almost two and a half months after my payment and numerous calls and emails, I am yet to receive the tickets. The owner of the travel agency, Ms. Mina Sanghvi, has not given me any confirmed date as to when she would be releasing the tickets. She is rude, doesn't return calls and in short not somebody whom you want to deal with however desperate you might be. My experience has been a nightmare and I planning to go to court in order to get the tickets for which I paid more than two months ago.

Worse still, we are not even able to cancel the tickets, as the owner, Mina Sanghvi, says that she'll charge $150 per ticket for cancellation. This to me is ridiculous since she has not even issued me the tickets.

Quite frankly, I wonder why they are not behind bars for indulging in such unfair practices and for cheating the innocent consumers. Maybe because nobody has made an attempt, but I'm determined to bring them to book. I warn everybody out there to desist from being involved with them in any transaction.

Dear Navneet, Manisha and countless others,
This has been an equally harrowing and nightmarish experience for me and my wife also. Just like you guys , I am also trying to make a concerted effort towards bringing this woman to justice.

Kindly post your situation below. I have laid down some groundwork for filing a complaint, I have already reported the agency to the Better business bureau in NEW York. This nonsensical travel agency must be stopped.

I dealt with Mrs Mina Sanghavi and still dealing with it. She should not go away with this.

We booked tickets to her. We are supposed to travel on Dec 11th. We paid $5000 for two adult tickets and one child for Air India. She asked us to send money by Cashiers Check. Before getting the money she was being very nice friendly. She used to call evryday and asked about tracking number of over night mail etc.We thought sending money by this way can help receiving tickets fast. She cashed the check on Nov 12th. She gave us the confirmation and all. We asked her to send the tickets and she said she has the ticket she will send it in few days. We chaecked with Air India inquiring about our confirmation they said it is there so we thought its ok if she sends tickets in few days. We didn't get tickets until Friday(6), we were supposed to travel on next Tuesday(11) at 3pm.

Now we started caliing her trying to contact her all mean possible. No one was picking up the phone. We faxed, emailed called what not and spend whorible weekend worrying what happed there was no reply from her. On Saturday morning we agin called Air India and we found out that because Mrs Mina didn't issue a ticket number on that confirmation, tickets were canceled by Air India. On Monday(8) evetually we were able to get hold of her and we talked to her and she said blamed Air India for that. Now she started trying another tickets. No tickets was even waitlisted, flights were packed. She is still tring. She didnot even get confirmation until Tuesday(9) and at Tuesday evening we started looking at Air lIne websites if there is any seats availableas we had to go to India for our parents health problem and we cannot change our plans.

We found out taht KLM opened up some seats and we called her and asked her to do KLM and we can pay the difference. Ceaser working for her, confirmed the tickets and promised us to issue etickets by 12pm on Wedensday for the Dec 11th travel.

On 10th Dec I am trying to talk to her, she hungs up the phone and not willing to talk. She still wants to wait for Air India and we said no!! She wants to try for Dec 12th now eventhough there is nothing confirmed, waitlisted!! We said just by KLM and she asked us to pay more. At the evening she said no matter what she will not issue tickets until tomorrow morning that is (Dec 11th ) and our plans cancelled. She has our money I asked her to wire that money back to us so we can purchase tickets from local agent which is available, she doesn't respond to that!!

Now we are still waithing for tickets. God know whats going to happen!! SHe doesn't return money neither she get us the ticket number!! We sufferd at work, we have two kids and all the plans has changed. Whole day and night we are worrying about tickets. We are continously getting calls from India about our scheduled arraival. We have to finish papper work at work. Don't we look stupid every where? Every body is asking why you are in the office today. What to do I say at kids school? I had to pay extra at Day care because of this lady.

I am all set to help someone suing her or bring her to Justice. People forget about it when they get the tickets, that's why her buisness is not affected. She shouldn't be playing with innocnt customers like that. She should be behind the bars.
