Consumerinfo.com fradulent charges consumer ripoff Orange California
In reviewing my bank statements, I noticed an unauthorized charge for $79.95 for "CIC Credit Monitor SVC," along with the phone number: 877-513-4175. I called this number and much to my surprise got right through to someone, after digging through the automated phone menu.
I told the person that this was a charge that I did not authorize, to which he replied "You want to cancel your account?" I wasn't aware that I had an account, per se, given that this charge was unauthorized. After verifying my address and whatnot, I was told that my account was cancelled and that I would see the refund on my card in 10 business days. Here's hoping...
