Complaint Review: Consumers Survey Research Organization

Received an unsolicited check for $1986.67 issued from Denver Community Credit Union along with a letter from Consumers Survey Research Organization.  I knew better than to believe anything like this especially given they requested $1260.00 be returned to them via Western Union.  What's the point in sending a check requesting that I go to 2 national chain stores, spend $100.00 at each, fill out a brief survey for each, keep $400.00 then return the bulk of the cash?  I know these are desperate times but please people, don't fall for anything like this!
