This company began billing one of my business lines in April 2009. Apparently they called and talked to one of our long since fired cashiers, who according to them 'authorized' the billing of their service. My accounts payable person realized it, albeit rather late, but did finally catch it. They company has stated they will give me a full refund, but it took hard hardheadedness and threatening posture on my part.

They issued me a confirmation number and stated they would refund a year and a half's worth of billing at $49.95 per month, plus taxes, after I offered to take it all to the Florida State's Attorney. We'll see if they actually do a refund or not. The best thing you can do to avoid this kind of garbage/fraudulent billing is to ask your phone company to block any third party billing to your phone lines, as well as teach your employees to NEVER answer questions when people call up to 'update their databases' or ask them to take a survey. I believe this bunch is a criminal outfit that should be investigated.
