I wish I had taken the time to go through with the lawsuit I threatened Continental with. I only got so far as writing a demand letter to their service of process pimps for both Continental and Continental Connection. Got married on 9/25/04 when Hurrican Jeanne hit our honeymoon site in the Bahamas. Called Continental the morning of the flight and they said they were flying in. Called Continental before leaving CA at 9:00pm and was told they were flying in. Little did we know the airport we were flying into had 5 feet of water in it and EVERYTHING was flooded. No power, no communications, nada, zip, zilch. Departing from Newark, NY at 6:30 a.m. -- Continental says they're flying into the Bahamas. Arrive in Ft. Lauderdale to find out that just 1 hour after 6:30 a.m. Newark flight left, all flights to Bahamas (where we're going) are canceled. Try to tell us that we had started our flight before the cancellation, so we're SOL. Stuck in Ft. Lauderdale for 2 days. Continental is the suckiest, most unethical, lying, crappiest, pimping company I've ever dealt with. Next time, I will file a complaint with FAA and local court. Although, the FAA condones this crap. Lying sacks of s**t.

You were probably lucky you never made it to your destination. Everyone was trying to get out. I don't think I would have taken off for a place that had been hit by a hurricane no matter what the airline said. I was wondering what the Future Farmers of America (FFA) had to do with this post, but it's just a typo.
