- First they ruin your belongings then the want the rent on time and increased .....

I have lived in this mobile home community for four years and my home was new when I bought it. In order to get to work in the winter, I leave my home walk to the street and lay down like a beached whale and propell myself off of the s****.> Both cars required new front axles, rear axles spindles, wheel bearings and tie rods ends. I'm still paying for the first car, you know the new one that only lasted 2 years and required the new axles and alot of major repairs due to the abuse it received just going to work. Even I can not keep paying $2000 each year for their laziness and lack of compassion.

The managers are great, not only won't they salt, they want the rent on time and then they increase it.

Lately, we've been having water trouble. The trouble is no water. They do not inform us of the water shut offs planned or breakages by design. The park believes that installing plastic piping above the frost line is a viable way to provide water.

My dishwasher has blown the water pump, I've put two heating elements in the hot water heater and my front loading Maytag (2 years old) is on the fritze.

The refrigerator ice maker is ruined too. Anything that has to do with water, or access and egress for these premises is trashed.

Keeping up with repairs and damage is costing me too much money. I can't pay the rent on time this month, just put new tie rod ends on my car, AGAIN! realigned it, and put on a new muffler and pipes due to the speed bumps being higher than the clearance on my car. Generally speaking, if I'm the only one in the car I can make, but not with passangers.

This place sucks! No one in their right mind should move here. Paying monthly bills can be tough enough, but just try keeping up with the repare bills and the cost of a family of four eating out night after night when there is no water.

I've made the laundamat owner happy. Let's see family of four working people changing clothes teice a day equals $45.00/week to wash and dry.

Management has said the last time they called everyone to let them know the water would be shut off for a week and they provided water 1/4 mile away if we needed it, of course you could not drink it or cook with it.

I'm sick and tired of management raising the rent, now doubled in four years since I moved in, and believing their own press releases that they contact their tenants. If they leave a flyer, it's after you leave for work, sorry washer turned you on again and expected clean clothes. They announce four days into a no water period that they called everyone they could reach. What part of my cell phone, work phone and/or home phone was too much for them to call.

Oh, I should mention that one of the cars didn't make through the winter slide period, so management is obliging by threatening to have it towed off. Can't fix it yet, too much other damage has to come first.

I hate it here and can not wait to leave. It is unlikely that my major appliances will ever make it out of here, it makes forclosure on thei mobile home look very inviting.

Yes Indian Run Village wants it's rent on time and if it is paid late you will pay a late charge.

I know that everywhere I've ever rented that is how my landlord was. I'm not sure why people have such a very hard time understanding this otherwise well known fact. Landlords as well as other businesses increase there prices on goods and services as their costs increase. A once a year increase is to be expected. This year 2003 the increase was $12.00 this increase will take some time to cover the vandalism, theft, and improvements made to the community this year. The pool pump house was rewired and plumbed. New pump and filter was installed. Speed bumps where painted, fire hydrants painted, all of the drainage control ditches where lined with rip rap (R4) after extensive excavation and cleaning, (cost $35,000.00) and many other repairs and improvements above and beyond the normal operation cost. As far as snow removal is concerned, the park plows the streets only, the snow has to go somewhere, to the left or right of the plow. Most people understand this and expect to shovel their sidewalks, parking areas, decks etc. Also if you can not drive safely I suggest that you stay home or get someone who can drive to take you. May be some new tires or a 4X4 vehicle would help. Perhaps penn dot could reimburse some of the cost for the pot holes people run over on the way to work? Or perhaps driving slowly over speed bumps would help. May be new shocks would help the car from bottoming out as well.

All resident s are called when there is a planed repair that requires the water to be shut off. No one can predict acts of god. If the water lines would call us and say "we are going to break tomarrow at 3 pm" we would be so happy to call and inform everyone of the upcoming break.

When the city has a water line break or power outage they do not call everyone in the city and tell them. When you call you hear a recording of current outages and that a repair crew is on the way to make the necessary repairs. They do not tell you the outage will be fixed at a specific time either. I guess we need that crystal ball of ours fixed. No pipes are installed above the frost line in Indian Run Village. However some residents do fail to place and test a heat tape on thier water lines beneath thier home. Maytag does not currently manufacture a front loading washer that has a heating element, but if they did it's not clear in this complaint why that be of concern to Indian Run Village or the Management team. May be the problems with the vehicles and appliances is due to neglect and abuse of the owner operators? A simple check valve on the homes water inlet or on the hot water heater would most likely prevent damage to the hot water heater cost is about $6.00 abd can be installed with little knowledge or tools. Potable water is supplied and tested during water outages in compliance with local heath department requirements. We also provide bottle spring water that has a 6 year shelf life if the resident so requires or wants it. The water is located near the office and bottled water is in the recreation room. All residents are contacted in accordance with heath departments request as well.

Unfortunetly some residents files are not updated by them when they change their numbers. Some do not have answering devices as well. And again it's a cumbersome job to contact everyone and calling their work or cell numbers is not possible. Unfortunetly some people can not afford to live here or perhaps anywhere, your surely not doing anyone a favor by letting them get so far behind that they do loose thier home and belongings. Perhaps moving the home or selling it would be an option if they hate living here.
