I recieved a letter, or rather a "notice" today from the "Continental Finance Company" refering to an account that I wasn't aware that I had with them. It stated that "account number: 5206 xxxx xxxx xxxx" (apparently MY account) had a balance of $247.00, and now I was expected to make a payment to these people of (minimum) $50.00 by the 17th of september. The notice shows that a "fee/finance charge" of $188.00 was charged to the account, along with another charge of $59.00 for "other fees/debits," leaving an "available credit" of $53.00. All in all this notice has left me completely pi**ed, and TOTALLY confused.

First of all, I wasn't aware that I had any sort of account with these people! The statement I recieved refers to Mastercard, and I deffinately didn't recieve any Mastercard from these people, which is adding to the confusion. How the hell am I getting payment notices for a Mastercard that, as far as I'm concerned DOESN'T EVEN EXIST?!

This also means that, aside from the ridiculous notion that I've accumulated ANY sort of "account balance" with this "phantom" Mastercard, that $53.00 "available credit" B.S. would be of NO USE to me anyway...I HAVE NO MASTERCARD!! AAAAhh!!

To sum all this up for everyone...Continental Finance Co, is nothing but a bunch of lying, cheating, money hungry, leeches!! I am outraged that these finacial vampires are preying on innocent people's hard EARNED cash! (The) Continental Finance Company, needs to be dealt with NOW folks! They need to be caught, thrown behind bars, and forced to take it with no lube!
