I am located in Bogota, Colombia. I want to share my experience, because i want people to be prevented and refraining to look for pets to be adopted in case there is not a certified shelter or someone giving you accurate information to contact them to be in contact to them. I have a daughter and she is excited with the idea to have a dog for her very first time, her cousin has an English Bulldog, so my daughter was kind of jealous at first, but I think that adopting a bulldog just for her would be amazing, so I started my search on the internet and I found this page http://colombia.mundimascota.com/anuncio.php?Identi=423450, there is a post with some nice pictures of a little famale bulldog, which i thought was perfect for my daughter anyways I just contacted the owner of the dog by the page itself under an option that is only provided by this page, the fictional owner contacted me in less than 24 hrs, she sent me some pictures and also she added a new puppie its name "Charlie", the owner statted that she was not able to take care of the puppies and she needed a new lovely and warm home to her puppies, so i started a conversation with her even she is on Facebook I will address her by her fake name and e-mail address, KATH REEINALD, kathreeinald@gmail.com . At first i thought that was normal, but then she start asking me to do a deposit in exchange to the dogs and to do the shipment to Bogota, the weird thing is that the mail showed something related to Camerron, when she had statted before that she was located on Baltimore, I tried in different ways to get a phone number to contact her because I told her that a didnt want to be ripped off, then i asked her to add me on whatsapp, she avoided that with a clever excuse, then I just have started my own research about similar cases and I found this page. Please be aware and pay close attention to that she sent me some e-maols, when I agreed to adopt one of the puppies she sent me an email, statting the next:

I SHALL TAKE THE PUPPIES TO THE AIRLINE NOW AND I SHALL HAVE THE AIRLINE CONTACT YOU ON HOW TO MAKE THE PAYMENT FOR THEM TO BE SENT TO YOU. LET ME KNOW ONCE YOU HEAR FROM THEM AND ALSO ONCE YOU SEND THE MONEY TO THEM

After a few hours i received a mail from this email address: c.shippers@consultant.com they were asking to go to a local store to do a deposit for only US$ 90.00, which is very cheap to be true, so I just decided to repport this before someone gets ripped off by malicious people or software that may take personal or even more delicated information your debit or credit card information, do not accept any adoption if they ask you for some money an adoption must be for free, and just because you are tending to have a chance to change a pet's life.
