My husband and I were searching for rottweiler puppies when we came across this add:

The ad stated that the puppies were in MI and were being given to good homes because the sellers mother had passed and he couldn't bear to look at the puppies any more because they made him think of her.  When I responded to the ad I received the following response from Jank Tommy at the email address janktom25@yahoo.com:

So we want to give them out to a lovely and caring home where they can be treated as such and keep us up-dated on monthly progress. But if you would be able to come over here for the pick up, We shall be very great-full, But if you can't come we can arrange for home delivery with the pets delivery agency and they will get the puppies deliver at your doorstep. We shall send the puppies along side with :

-- Some Playing Toys.
-- Up date Photos.
-- 1 Year Health Warranty.
-- Certificate of Veterinary Inspection.
-- Micro-Chipped (In case ever lost or stolen)

Please i will Like to ask you some few question that are very important to us and we do hope you reply all the questions as below :

Have You Ever Own A Pet Before?
Where Are You Located ?
Did You Have Kid Home  ?
Are You Buying Them For Breeding Or Just As A Family Pet ?
Are You Interested In The Male Or Female ?
Are You Ready To Have The Puppies  Safe Delivery At Your Door-Step ?

Sorry for all the questions but just that we want to make sure of the kind of home our Puppies are going too so hope you understand. Once we get your reply we shall email you back with some recent pictures of the Puppies and also explain more to you on how the delivery will work out if you can come over to pick the puppies  okay.Best Regard!

After responding to the e-mail I was told I was chosed to given the female puppy a good home, but the male puppy had been adopted out already.  I was told the puppy would be delivered to my doorstep, and the seller would make all the arrangements. 

Once the arrangements had been made I received an e-mail from the pet delivery company with the subject "*****Pendi?ng Delivery And Payment Notificati?on Of Your Female Rottweiler Puppy ( Pearl ) To Client # 0026!"

The e-mail had poor grammar and just looked like a hack job.  The instructions for payment were to western union the money to an individual in Cameroon, in Africa.  The whole thing looked like a scam so I called Continental Airlines (the seller told me the pet delivery was a subsidiary of Continental Airlines) and was transferred to their pet transportation department.  They could not confirm any of the reference numbers I was given and said they would not request that the money be wired as instructed.

I contacted Jank Tommy and explained this to him, stating the deal was off.  He tried to reassure me that everything was good and that I needed to deal with just him, if I was having trouble with the airline because I was in such a rush.  He kept telling me I had to make the wire transfer ASAP because the puppy was at the airport waiting for me to make the payment so she could be on her way.

That's when I did a search for the janktom25@yahoo.com e-mail address and found several other reports on this website, with the exact same report as what happened to me. 

Jank Tommy kept sending me e-mails urging me to wire the money ASAP until I sent him the link to one such report.  I have not heard anything since.
