Complaint Review: Continental Services

I was making dinner at home. I was actually feeling down and out after being turned down for a loan. You see me and my husband are trying to buy the house we've been lease/purchasing for fifteen months. We need to clean up our credit but with 4 kids, bills, $1100 rent its hard. Even though our debt is less than $4000 noone will give us a loan or any type of credit. We were young when we had our 1st child and we had a hard time getting started. Here we are seven years later, three more kids and we need a second chance.

So you can imagine how exited I was to recieve a phone call from Lori with continental services. "you been approved for a $2500 limit mastercard" yeh right I said noone will give me any kind of credit. Ma'm you have been approved you filled out something to re-establish your credit right? This was true I have been looking at so much on the internet and had filled out a couple of things.

I knew there had to be some catch, then it came "there is just a one time processing fee of $329" I laughed. Don't forget ma'm as soon as you get the mastercard you can use your $500 emergency fund that you don't have to pay back, plus you get your 2 vacation packages that are yours for free.

When I questioned her about what they actually got out of it since they were paying me to get the card. She said ma'm we work as the middle man for the banks they want you in a position so that you can get a loan from them which would be in three to six months. Desperate, me and my husband said why not what do we have to loose. She asked me to confirm the routing number I asked her how come she had that info what she said seemed pretty believable she was a very cunning lier. I gave her my account number and they were going to debit it from my acount in ten days.

The next day I was worried about what we had done after all we needed that money in order to live. I called the number they gave me at nine o'clock thats when the hours started all I kept getting was a customer servic answering machine. I finaly got through to a lady and asked her some questions her answers were not the same as the other ladies. I was really worried, that night me and my husband did some research and typed in google the name of the company "continenal services" we came across all these people saying they had been scammed by them.

The next day I went to the bank first thing and closed my account. Thank God they didn't get my money.
