I requested a quote for a warranty from the company online. Got a call back regarding this, took the VIN number and quoted a rate for full warranty. Wanted a credit card number over the phone, inorder for them to send me a policy. I clarified that I only need a quote with terms and conditions and that I was not cmfortable with giving credit card numbers over phone.

I was told by the representative who initially called me (who refused to give me his name) as well as another employee (supervisor) that if I do not accept the contract and give the deposit, the VIN number will be entered into a database that would preclude me from ever getting a cmoplete warranty for my vehicle in the future. I told them repeatedly that all I want is a quote with terms and conditions that I can read and decide whether to accept the warranty.

I was then told that I have two options: give the credit card number and buy the warranty or decline the warranty which will allow them to enter the VIN into the ""database". I spent nearly an hour with these people trying to reason as well as threatening to file a complaint , but to no avail. I was told that if I hang up, it will be considered as having declined the warranty and that the VIN would still be blacklisted. This was the most distressing experience that I have ever had, considering the fact that they called me and then presented with a fait accompli: buy or be blacklisted.
