After my father-in-laws passing, NY Retired Police Officer Shield # 19186, we decided to have my arthritic mother-in-law move in with us. I had seen and spoken with one of my neighbors who enlisted Contractors Network to do some similar work.
What our contract was signed for and agreed to and was paid for was 500 square feet which included a full bath. The original blueprints that were filed with the NY Dept of Buildings were rejected after this company demolished my roof and upper floor. They then prepared a second set of blueprints, which they wanted to charge me an additional $6500.00 to complete.
During this same period my wife was undergoing treatment for breast cancer and they knew this.I have tried working with the company, but all I get are promises that lead no where. All I'm asking for is to get what I've already paid for. Since I paid for and was promised 500 square feet and didn't receive it, I should then be do a refund from Contractors Network.
