I contracted Darius Nathaniel of Converge Design Solutions to shoot and edit footage for a show I created and executive produced. Once the shooting was over I asked for the footage to which he replied.. I've been meaning to talk to you about licensing that back to you.. Of which I replied.. You were hired as a contractor.. You have no rights to that footage.. If anything you need to license that from me. I then told him I also wanted the footage from an earlier shoot he had done. He agreed to give me the footage and I dropped off my media for him to store it on. After I picked it up.. I plugged in my media and discovered he had only given me 10 clips of the original footage I asked for. When I confronted him, he claimed it was a mistake. I then told him I will need to file a legal action against him to obtain that footage.
