Complaint Review: convergent

I am so thankful that I did my research for this company. They sent me a letter stating that I owed this company money from something that happened over 10 years ago and then wanted to add about $800 worth of interest. This was something that was wrote off and then looks like my information was sold to a company and then they sold it to another company. I cant believe that these bogus companies are allowed to do this to people especially for something that was wrote off over 10 years ago.  Is there anything that can be done about these people? I am so thankful for this website!!!!!
