I contacted Conway vanlines and they quoted me a price of $2700. When the truck arrived they moved all my things out of my storage unit and told me if I didn't sign the documents they had ready then my things would be left where they were. The truck is divided into 2 1/2 to 3 foot intervals which they measure from top to bottom on dimensions that there will be no space between the load. This is impossible unless you are moving all symmetrical boxes. By the time my things were loaded up ( 2 bedroom apartment worth of things) my $2700 had jumped to almost $3500. The mover stated it would take a week to drive across country to my residence. They took my things on Jan 21st and they told me my truck left of January 24th for a cross country trip to Washington State. I arrived on February 1st and called operations to find out the status of my things. I was given the number to the truck driver who's name was Sha-Ron. Sha-Ron is a Haitian who was extremely rude and could of cared less about getting here. It is now February 8th and I still do not have an arrival time for my belongings. It is impossible to call the company and get ahold of anybody that knows what's going on. Promises to get called back and helped are an absolute joke. So far they have $1800 of my money and I have no belongings, can't get help and am sitting in an empty house with a bed I had to go and buy so I didn't have to sleep on the floor. I would never under any circumstances recommend this company to anyone. However if your looking for a job with no accountability and lazy work standards then this is the place to go. NEVER use this company for your moving needs.
