Cook Heating and Air has displayed to me the most hideous example of price gouging that I have ever seen. Their labor rate must be three or four times what other companies are charging.

I would never begrudge someone of a profit, but I question the integrity and honesty of an individual who would have the audacity to demand such pricing.

My advice would be to get several quotes before paying their exhorbant pricing.

I wonder if customers are paying a premium for flashy trucks/advertising?

We at Cook Heating & Air operate by a strict code of ethics where we pledge to serve our clients with integrity, competence and objectivity; and we've been operating this way for almost 35 years!

We understand that we make mistakes and that we can't make 100% of the customers we visit happy.... but we do try every single time.  We are the only company in our service area that uses 3rd-Party Customer Satisfaction surveys with our clients to help us better understand ways to improve our services, our employees and our company in general.  For over the past 5 years, these are our lowest rated numbers... 97% customer satisfaction score and 99% referral rate

There is a big difference between value and price... and in this industry and you get what you pay for (like many other industries).  We choose to be a high-value company that employs the right people (who go through an extensive background check so you don't worry about who's coming into your home).  We provide them with constant training (in-house and nationally) and testing because there is no guarantee on what skill-set a technician has when they walk into your home.  We do all of this to ensure our team provides the level of customer service and has technical ability required to be the most professional in-home service company.  We also have a core office staff to support our field people allowing us to provide the fastest, highest quality and best value-added services in our area.  All of these value-added items which are far above the "normal" contractor do have costs associated with them.

And as a company... we stand behind our work 100%.  We agree with our clients in advance and independently on the basis of our fees so there are No Surprises with us as to the cost of work.  If we have a customer who isn't happy with the work we've performed, we do what it takes to make the situation right (even if that means a complete refund).

We understand we're not the cheapest company in town and if you make your decisions purely on price alone then we're probably not the company for you.  However if you want value, quality, reliability, fast-timing, friendly and respectful services that we as a company provide... then you'll love us!
