Complaint Review: Cook Portable Warehouses/sheds

My first clue should have came when they delivered the wrong building!  Then each month I did not know they were racking up late fees on my account.  One month I even made two payments and yet they still tacked on late fees.  When I discovered this, I called to have the building picked up.  I had also noticed that the roof was poorly made, in fact I am not even sure it was legal.  The roof vent ....or lack of, was merely shingles.  There was no wood, no tar paper, nothing but shingles. Anyway, I called to have it picked up and ask for a final bill.  I was told I owed one month more because they could not pick it up for two weeks?  Then I got the final bill with over 300 in late fees added on. 

When I called to question the late fees I was given the run around.  Fast forward 2 weeks, I get a call from a collection agency!  I remarked that the bill wasnt even 30 days late and I just spoke to someone about payment.  The collection agency told me they got the account on day 1 after the building had been picked up.  So I called Cook Sheds back and spoke to the manager and ask why in the world would you send that to collections.  His response "we cant be bothered to chase people down".  I explained that I had just spoke to Christina and given her my new address and phone number so they were not exactly chasing anyone here. 

Finally, I decided to work with the collection agency who.....wait for it.......said they would knock off the 300 in late fees.  If youre even thinking about purchasing from this company...Dont Do IT.  A common theme for all of the scam reports regarding them is the same :  bogus late fees and shotty building practices.
