Complaint Review: Cool Air USA

This company always advertises in the monthly "value coupon" mailers.  It promises complete and thorough air conditioner duct cleaning for a very low price.  The one I had said 7 vents for $35.  When they showed up, one guy shone his flashlight into two of my ducts and told me, "your ducts are fine, they don't need cleaning," despite the fact I have dust all throughout my apartment and the ducts hadn't been cleaned in 6 years.  I told him I had a brand new air conditioner.  Yet he roughly removed the filter on the air exchanger that is only secured by a flimsly solid piece of metal.  His partner then came in, (neither had a duct vacuum with them) and took off the same filter after I TOLD HIM his partner had just done that.  Then he proceeded to dismantle the air exchanger with a screw driver, ignoring my all-too-polite plea not to do that.  From other complaints I've read, he may have been looking for a way to damage my new air conditioner as he was closely examining the cooper tubing inside.  Then they gave me an estimate to thoroughly sanitize my ducts and install a UV light for $900, which of course, I refused.  One thing is very clear.  They NEVER had any intention of cleaning the ducts, although that's what they were called to do.  My only regret is that it didn't throw both of these scam artists out of my place before they touched anything.  I cannot believe this fraudulent company is allowed to keep its license.  They should be referred to Attorney General Pam Bondi's fraud division.
