These people do not take care of their dogs and their puppies tend to be sick and have genetic defects from inbreeding. They refuse to give you your money back and are stuck taking another one of their unhealthy animals.

Fair enough! However, it is our belief that the common sense of the hoi polloi will prevail, because Americans don't let anybody get away with anything, unless there is some justice in it. For instance, have you ever witnessed someone cut to the front of the line...someone WILL say something to them.



This is a much needed public forum to air all manner of rip offs. Consumer rip offs are only one type. We also include political corruption which is also not a consumer rip off. The important fact is that we are now one of the most valuable investigative tools for law enforcement and official regulatory bodies across the US; the Postal Inspector, FBI, and the Federal Trade Commission have all consulted with us on the results of our investigations.



Be assured, we do interject when the injustice is so blatant and it is a clear case of "the big guy" beating up on "the little guy." You will see us jump in when corporations, car dealerships, attorney, etc. respond to the complainant. We are careful and research our responses, and in many cases, expose corruption and assist the individual in recouping that which was defrauded -except in those cases where chastity is involved.

Editors Letter Regarding Cool Pups

I am a new visitor to you site and have had the opportunity to read some of the complaints and comments. Although many of the consumer complaints seem legitimate and informative, many of the other"complaints" under the guise of "adultry" seemed more like a shady chat room for complaining adolescents (rather than a place where people posts legitimate concerns). That is why when I read your response to "mary" I was glad to see that "someone" is policing unfare and dishonest comments.



However, I have not seen the same effort in terms of a rebutal or policing efforts towards elicit comments being made in the adultry section as you gave to "mary" and the puppy mill. I'm sure she is a liar, she probably does work for the mill or have some relationship to the company, but what about the relationships that are being aired elswhere on your site?



Some of these people are using your site as a form of therapy, and others are just down right slanderous. Shouldn't you take the liability off of yourselves by not allowing people to air thier dirty laundry on your site? Some people are going as far as to address their comments as "so and so is a s**t, a w***e, and a cheating herpes infected liar".



I mean, what in the world does that have top do with consumer advocacy? I could see if someone wants to put a dead beat mom or dad on the website, and they can legitimatley back up what thier accusing them of, but other peole are abusing this site. Look around at some of the stories being aired and maybe you will see what I am talking about.

Dear Mary,



Your comments were not only so spontaneous, but also so voluntary. What ever could have caused you to be so forthcoming. Excuse us if we seem to be suspicious about your motivations, even your identity. We found it most curious that you provide no corroborative information attached to this comment. Normally, we do not leave these comments on the website, but in your case we felt it would be instructive.



All too often, people say, "Oh, how can anyone believe the information in these Rip-off Reports?" We have wondered too, and have studied them, investigated them and analyzed them. This is what we came up with:



I want to inform everyone that 94% of Rip-off Reports are accompanied by all the identifying and contact data, 4.5% only give us a bona fide e-mail address, and less than 2% of the submitter give us totally false or no information.



So you see, Mary, when you fit into the latter category, we knew something was not on the up-and-up.



Sometimes these Rebuttals are posted by liars, and sometimes by the business in question in an effort to make themselves look better, but we often post them anyway. Why? Because we know in the long run it will make the perpetrator look foolish.



When people visit the Rip-off Report, or the Internet for that matter, it is because they have been ripped off and are looking for a way to avoid getting taken advantage of again by the legal system. They fear court. They fear being put in the position of paying thousands of dollars to an attorney and having no guarantee of getting anything back. Many have also made the requisite calls to the Better Business Bureau to learn nothing that would have prevented them from being taken advantage of, and after-the-fact they have sought the help of the BBB, which goes nowhere.



To sum this all up Mary, we are very sure of the credibility of the 94% of Rip-off Reports. We are also certain of lack of credibility of those who fit into the 1.5% category. We can say something with a fair amount of certainty; you don't live next door, your name is probably not Mary, and you probably have some sort of relationship with the owner of Coolpups. I would recommend some things in this matter; Coolpups should compensate all those they have taken advantage of, and if Coolpups can not treat animals any better than this, they should get themselves out of the business!
