Copy Copy - Grand Junction More like Sloppy Sloppy Grand Junction, Colorado
In preparation for my wedding, I created a program for our guests and took it to Copy Copy to have the copies made. They were even going to be able to pull the document from a flash drive, which was a real life save for me. I got it approved by the owner, John for the paper that had been purchased for us to be used for the color and black & white pages. Unfortunately the first visit I made, I didn't have the right flash drive.
They next day, I sent my fiance to get the copies taken care of. He was told that there way they could use our paper for the color copies and that we would have to use their paper which ended up being more expensive. My fiance reluctantly agreed, even though he told them that the paper had been approved by the owner/manager, John the day before.
When he picked up the documents, the font formatting was lost and we were missing the last page. It frustrates me that they took the time to take down my fiance's name and number and could not call to confirm the page count of the document. We had a four page document and only got copies of pages 1-3. This meant another trip for my fiance down to the copy center to get the fourth page. The font formatting that I worked so hard on is miraculously on this page, though it is completely gone from all of the others. I called to speak to a manager/owner and was hung up on twice. When I called back in, I was told he would be available Monday morning.
I called Monday to voice my frustration and was not seeking out additional compensation. Essentially, I have had to compromise my standards of this program for errors performed, but what is done is done. I called in the interest of letting the manager/owner know what was going on when he was out of the office. I advised him we ending up paying more for our copies than originally quoted and also the difficulties we had with the actual process.
John's answer was to give me the difference of the prices plus ever excuse under the sun as to why things weren't done the way they should have been. I appreciated the compensation, but advised him what I was looking for was some empathy for our situation. He added the final 'kicker' excuse that they had a gas leak yesterday and were unable to do business as usual. (My fiance has no clue what he is talking about. Obviously if this did happen, it was after our experience there and should have had no bearing on our copies.)
I am annoyed that the solution to the problem was to just throw some money at it instead of even attempting to empathize or take ownership of the issue. He even went so far as to imply that the reason we had trouble was because I sent my fiance to request the copies instead of doing it myself and that it was his fault and thereby my fault. At the end of the conversation he said he did not know what else he could do or what else I wanted. Frustrated, I said that was all and thanked him and he hung up on me.
I would not even give this place a one star rating. This was a horrible experience and I will never be going there again. I'm also going to do what I can to discourage friends and family from doing business there as well.
