I spent a pleasant Saturday at the Westfield Mall in Palm Desert, CA. I'm aware of the hustling kiosks in malls, but I thought this was a legit fairly high end store and I was in a good mood and not in a hurry. Tipoff: no one in store. Second tipoff: never heard of brand but I rarely go to malls. Maybe this was the new cool thing.

Anyway a lady practically grabbed me, complemented me, said how good my skin was, couldn't believe how old I am, asked if I was French, got my name wrong several times, slathered me with stuff that did indeed look and feel good. Lots of chat and lots of products later, I find out I was in for over $250 worth of organic creams and makeup I'm sure I could get at Whole Foods or Trader Joes or even Costco for WAY less. Or even at my discount online vitamin store.

The COR store was actually a kiosk hiding as a storefront in the Palm Desert Mall. I think they may want to get big and compete, but they are charging top prices because not only are the products "organic"(I can't prove they're not) but they seem really desperate and greedy.  One jar of their "good" cream was $200! Or they throw a few products in a sparkly bag from China and charge $250+ to the wealthy and older denizens of Palm Desert with dry tanned skin.

I will absorb this like a speeding ticket and move on, but they are skeevy, sketchy and greedy. I could have spent the money much more wisely on a lot more stuff AND some quality skincare from another company. If you are strolling through Westfield Palm Desert, walk FAST! Don't go in the store! And they don't take American Express! Always a bad sign.
