Coral Resorts Coral Sands Timeshare Resorts Lied to regarding purchase of timeshare and maintenance fees, bad business practices- completely deceived Hilton Head Island South Carolina
On purchased the time-share, my husband and I were told that our Maintenance Fee would be $395 Dollars every other year--- we had a bi-yearly account that gave us points every other year and charged us a maintenance fee every other year. We bought this in September 2011 but we are not scheduled to get our first points until 2013---
We received our first bill and it is for $979.70. Late fees of 25 dollars if not paid by 1/15/2013 if not paid by March 15 the assessed fee raise to 50%.
I call the Island Links HOA and left a message for them to call me back. Next day I called again, they told me that only collect the fees, which are set by Coral Resorts/Island Links. I was given a number to call customer service, which routed me to a voice mail that said I would receive a return call in the order received and not less than 24 hours. It has been more than a couple of days and I have called several times.
Today I called the resort registration desk and was told that they couldn't help.
Also, when we were going through our time-share sales pitch, they told us that if we couldn't go we could sell our weeks through the resort with a 30-40% fee--- when we called this year to try to sell our developer week, they told us they don't sell them... Strange- we were told you did.... they gave me a name and number to Resort Rentals Worldwide who told me January 10th that they woudl have it rented by August--- it's almost December 1st and they took our $270 but haven't sold our week---- won't discount on website, won't list in order of rentals they received.... We are out the money and the week...............
