CDI college, NIT, NEC, Verest, WyoTech, what ever the name, the parent company is Corinthian Colleges, and I have been researching this place for the last 5 days. They have a HISTORY of cheating students, by lying to them about enrollment, graduation percentages, and placement histories. Most recently California sued them for this and settled the suit in July of 2007.

I am a victim of one of their schools from back in 1989, when student default rates hit their highest. Some of the reports I am finding are current, as recently as July 2007.
These schools are a TRAP and the goverment should shut them DOWN. PERIOD.

For those who default on student loans, because of economic conditions, or who are not properly placed in proper job, the student loan problem becomes an unending nightmare that relegates the person to 3rd class citizen for the rest of their lives unless they win a lottery or a major lawsuit with a huge monitory claim, or they result to the SOS solution (sucking on Shotgun, aka suicide ) as several have, according to stuff I have found on the internet.

The government does not care, that these schools gave you false and misleading information to get you to apply for loans, (which by any other law, invalidates them). You got the money, or rather their corpration did and YOU are left holding the bag. And that is the bottom line.

685 students start, 58 percent graduate. thats 397, and 17 percent or 117 are actuall placed by one of the Schools in 2005 according to a report on the web. I do not consider that to be a SUCCESSFUL school, rather I call it a parasitic, or a pereditor school, who is preying on folks like us that are trying to get some training that will put us in a good paying job so that we don't have to end up like our parents; always working and always broke.

Many of the locations of these schools have shut down, or been renamed to other names such as Everest Institute, or WyoTech, or any number of any other names. Go to their website to see the full and current listings.

Well, thats my 2 cents worth, for what its worth.
