Cornerstone helped guide my career path

I spent only two weeks with Cornerstone America in Colorado Springs and I have only good things to say about the people at Cornerstone and the products. I just found out for myself that I am not destine for a career in sales. Employees are given "warm" leads, not great leads, but not "cold". Cornerstone does try and put its customers in the best policy that meets their needs and makes sense. Concerning the difference between Cornerstone's policies and everyone elses, well if you get down to the facts EVERYONE offers the same thing. Insurance companies are in business still today because they appropriately base their rates on statistics. Everyone basically charges the same but different companies offer different options to add to the policy. Customers should realize that they are paying for the SERVICE. Customers pay a premium and producers get a commission because they are taking care of the customers needs. It's a legitamite business and no one should call it a SCAM. If you are considering employment in the insurance business I have two suggestions...first, know that you are getting into sales and that it may seem like telemarketing at first but "B" leads that turn out to be good will produce "A" leads and you can be successful just like they teach you. Secondly, just do what is right. Alot of companies get a bad rep because of the actions of a few. Act with integrity and honor and you will do fine. HELP you customers all the time and forget about SELLING the insurance. I would recommend Cornerstone to anyone in the insurance business because I do believe they care. I am no longer working for them because I am just not a good salesman. Lastly, my only gripe would be the $200+ background investigation expense that I sucked down. I know for a fact that even a very in depth background investigation that covers both financial and legal can be obtained for about $100 from several well established firms. So that definitely needs to be changed or the company's good name will likely be tarnished when this gets out.

Another Cornerstone Clone

Okay, once again a brainwashed Cornerstone robot spews out the company line. Everyone that leaves does so because they do not put in the time. Well, I put in 40+ hours per week. I was making good money. I left because I began to compare Mid-West with other products. The Mid-West product is very, very week. The facts are in. Many people have had to file for bankruptcy with Mid-West. I do have morals and simply could not continue to peddle a sub-par product when much stronger plans at comparable premiums exist.
Please do not label all ex-cornerstone employees as lazy. Some of us are just ethical.
God Bless!

It's amazing to me that individuals who are looking for a career change, to better their lives, take advice from people that have failed on their own accord. The complaints you see against Cornerstone are all from people who didn't put in an honest, 40 hour work week.

Anyone who complains about Cornerstone has a problem with holding themselves accountable. Therefore, you would not be a fit to our ethical, above board, moral company.
