Corporate Service Center Dirty Sales Tactic Reno Nevada
Ordered an Entity Creation and Business Credit Builder service for $2629.95 from the sales rep, Chris Ashby at Corporate Service Center by giving him my bank account info to process ACH. Before ordering, I told him I could not order now for I need to deposit the funds in my bank account first. He told me that I have 2 days to deposit the funds and that it won't be processed until that night anyway. That's when I gave him the bank account info and proceeded with my order. He sounded very knowledgeable and company's BBB record was satisfying (later I learned BBB's record is deceiving - see below).
4 hours later, I learned that I may need a broker license in order for the entity to be legitimate, I told him to hold the check processing and also sent him an email requesting to hold the processing until I find out more about the license issue. He said, "OK". I called back and asked more questions. Meantime I still needed to get an answer from state departments and such. That night, I sent him an email that I was cancelling for now until I can decide whether to create an entity or not. I talked to him some more next morning. Called back to let him know my final decision not to set up an entity for now. I sent him an email as well. Phone calls stopped.
4 days later, I received a package from this company so I checked my bank account and sure enough he processed the check via ACH which ended up with NSF which I am glad I did not deposit the funds. I would have lost that money to this company. When I contacted his supervisor, Eric Winkler, he said, Chris stated that I gave him mixed signals. I don't know what part of, "Hold my check processing", "Cancel my order for now", and "cancel my order" emails he did not understand. Not once Chris asked if I wanted to continue with my order.
Upon my rebuttal, Eric sent me an email of apology having a bad experience with his company and that he will make an arrangement to pick up the package. He never did.
3 days after that apology email, I received another package from their sister company, Nevada Corporate Headquarters (NCH). The package was part of that $2629.95 service I had ordered and cancelled. When I sent an email to Chris to be sure to contact everyone who is involved in processing the service I cancelled, a few hours later, I got a call from NCH wanting to follow up on the Business Credit Builder service which is connected to the 2nd package and nothing was mentioned about the package I complained about.
Bottem line is, Chris Ashby played dirty. I was sincerely wanting to use his service when I figured out the license issue and when I was ready. I am glad this happened. I learned more about what I need and don't need.
Their sister company, Nevada Corporate Headquarters, has horrible rating from BBB, Better Business Bureau. Somehow this company kept their BBB record pretty clean.
BTW, they never picked up the packages. I guess their tactic is to just send out packages and expect you to pay for them.
One more thing, Better Business Bureau charges dues from their members so it is hard to believe they can be a third party mediator between the vendors and consumers. When I filed a complaint, it was forwarded to this company to rebuttal rather than allowing me to submit my evidence to prove Chris used dirty tactic to process my check and investigate his actions. I had to rebuttal same thing twice not knowing when the BBB would take my complaint and post it against this company. They certainly are not for consumers in my opinion. They seem to favor their members like this company for BBB collects dues from scums like this.
