I worked for Cort Furniture as a Account Executive. Cort Furniture is a Berchshire Hathaway Company, which is owned my Wareen Buffet. He is the second riches man in the world. Estimated worth is 25 Billion. I was just laid off from Cort rental furniture. I was giving the reason the were eliminating my position because sales were down. Yet, the comapny is still making money. I was a great employee and did everything they asked of me. It seems the Mr. Buffet is getting greeder and greeder. Can Mr. Buffet not put in some money into his company. What's a 100 million to him. He would rather eliminate jobs and put good decent hard working people out of work, rather than loose a few bucks. He needs to be stopped! Please BOYCOT all his companies.

No company or business owes us a job

I am always amazed when people are fired, laid off, business closes, etc. and the former employee gets mad and blames the business. Boycott! As an employee, I owe my employer my time, skills, honesty and good work habits. In return, my employer owes me the amount of money we agreed as payment for the work I perform (plus a safe working environment). No company or business owes us a job. If the company or business wants to fire me and hire his brother-in-law, so be it. Please keep in mind that nobody owes us a job. The employer-employee relationship is a mutually beneficial relationship: I work for you, you may me for the work, I earn money, you get the work done. It's that simple.
